our history
The family name Crichton stems from Managing Director, Hamish Wrights, Grandfather Crichton Wright and a name that has stayed in the family being the middle names of himself, his father and now son Woolf.
The name was also used as a memory of the late Crichton Wright in 1996 to name New Zealands first specialist waterski lake on the family farm in Dunsandel, Canterbury.
Lake Crichton now encompassing two specialty designed lakes have held numerous regional, national and international competition over the past 26 years and currently still hold New Zealands all comer records in most events.
